It would give us the option to follow them or post on their wall. Include some security check to stop walls being filled with Air Jordan adverts.

Have a little link when you are looking at someone's profile, next to the matchmaking thing that shows all the games you have in common, and compares the ratings you have given the games. Have some indication if the games are multiplayer. Make able to invite a player to play with you from this screen via a message: "Player X wants to play Game Y with you"

Matchmaker has some pretty low percentiles sometimes because people have the same game on different platforms. I know some games like Tiger Woods on Wii are very different on another platform, especially if you consider handhelds, but for the most part games are the same no matter where you play them. If someone owns Red Dead Redemption on PS3 it should count it even if I have it on 360. If a game gets the same preview/ review on a console's page, it should be considered the same game.

The search result should have a sorting option where you can search based on "Most Relevant" if you're searching for a specific friend and a "Best Match" option to look for new people out there with a high matchmaker percentage.

Realize it's BETA and still being developed - but for Match Maker allow users to match Movies, TV, BDs & gear with other users & IGN Editors moving forward. You may have get more traffic!

A call to all gamers to vote for a gamer dating service to be integrated into our IGN profile. Matches can be based on user selected criteria, like favorite games, or similar posts on forums, or level of casual vs. hardcore gamer.

Allow people to see members they are following or following them by a specific game allowing for people to use IGN to set up gaming matches or find people who play specific games.

it would be cool to follow people who have the same interest of games as me, so when you click on a link that might say "find people in common" or something, those who have the most games and consoles in common would appear at the top then we follow them

Gamer compatibility should be based on games played and rating, there should be a separate section for "following" games as of yet unreleased (less weight should be given to "friend compatibility" for unreleased games)

I don't know if this happens to everyone else but I when I see someone from say, the ign editors people list and i see how many games we have in common. But when I actually reach their profile the number is different.
