Because it exists on the Boards... Why not on MyIGN?!

It's simply very annoying, when I want to speak someone, on private, and have no way, but by posting on their wall. I'd like to be able to send messages.

Perhaps I'm just missing it but there used to be a link to see all your previous comments. This should be prominent so you can see if anyone replied etc.

Can we please have a new messaging system, like the one before we got disqus? There is a ton of complaints about disqus like the one about the email notifications not working. Some of the time disqus is down and we can't comment on the blogs. Also, with the new messaging system we can give the mods more power, kill 2 birds with one stone.

PLEASE GIVE THE POWER FOR MODERATORS TO BAN ANNOYING SPAMMERS AND TO HELP PREVENT CHAOS.

Add a like button on what we're playing, because it's not only what we're actually playing,we also write other stuff

This is a key feature in Facebook! Why not put it into MyIGN? I know MyIGN is based on Twitter but still its a good idea!

Please add an option to dislike a comment, wall post, etc. because sometimes I don't like something and I want a button that works the same way as the like button but the opposite way.

When spam is reported in the comments section, when I return to that page I want the option (at the very least) to ignore that user and all future comments it posts.

Allow My IGN users to vote on comments made. Both positive and negative comment votes contribute to My IGN score.
Also allow for comments and replies to comments to show in user profile.

Where it says "Number of 'Likes' Received" you shoul dbe able to click it and see your posts that people liked. It's great that I have 15 likes, but I have no idea what posts were liked.

I've seen something today that resembles it but am not sure if it's permanent or not.

Either way, it would be really great if we can quote and reply to comments from the articles' comments area directly.

I want to know which of my comments are the most popular.

Everytime I log in to IGN using The OPERA web browser I can not type in comments without it saying I am NOT LOGGED IN even though I am >8(

basically posting on a regular article on IGN (like a review, preview, interview, etc.) should net you points for leveling up like it does on a blog or wall. i think that would make alot of sense.

Many people are afraid of using the disqus reply system because it inflates their comment number. Author comments shouldn't count towards that number, just like an author's view of his own post doesn't count towards their total amount of views.

This makes it easier to find/share your favourite articles and easier to find those outstanding "must read" articles. I think additional IGN based "star" and "like" buttons would be sufficient. The main idea is to keep track of your favourite articles and display the most "liked" articles for each channel or the game network as a whole - I'm sure there must be so many excellent articles, old and new, that people don't even know exist!
