Fix Login Problem
I signed up for a trial prime account a while ago with an old email and then it asked me to create a new login and now i cant access the old account with my prime account and couldnt cancel it. I didnt even receive a receipt for it but i most definitely got charged as it appears on my bank statement. I tried changing my email associated with my alternate username so i could gain access to my main but it wouldnt alllow me to do that. Please fix my issue so i can cancel my account before i get billed again
I apologize that it has taken so long to the get attention this deserves. We are actively working with the engineering team to try and resolve any of the outstanding login issues.
If you’re still having a problem please e-mail me directly with:
1) the e-mail address you used to subscribe to Prime
2) your username and
3) a ticket # if you’ve filled one out in the past
I’m really sorry this has taken so long. We’ll make it right as quickly as we can.

IGN really sucks now. Continual problems with sign in. E-mail links not working and having to invent new accounts just to post on boards to give Modders feedback. Sucks! Sucks ! Sucks!

Northcutt,
I think the only thing you might be sorry for is how fast customers are abandoning ship due to your company's inability to, or the refusal to, correct the mess made by tampering with your own systems. Prove me wrong.

I've just sent Todd an email about my login issues. I hope they'll get resolved soon.
Though really, IGN could have avoided this whole thing from the beginning by NOT changing their login system in the first place.

I have gotten resolution at this point, I opened a new comment and received a reply within two days. My account is working again and I have had some very nice emails back and forth.

I've been an IGN Prime subscriber (Founder!) for many years and I am appalled at the level of service I am NOT receiving to get this login problem fixed. There is NO excuse for taking months to fix this problem and as a software developer, I personally find it disgusting that your developers still have jobs after this fiasco. I expect to be GREATLY compensated with several years of free subscription or $$ of free software for all the sweepstakes, betas, and games I've missed while you folks have done nothing to appease the hundreds of people this happening to. Next stop is a lawyer for a possible class-action suit for non-delivery of purchased services.

I think the weekly to daily emails for IGN Prime features I cannot use is most frustrating at this point. If we could get some sort of update from the February 07 response that would at least help me believe this issue is still being worked on. A resolution or ETR would be even better.

I too am in this boat. Sent a support ticket when I could not download any Prime benefits, I am still getting emails linking me to the items I cannot get now, and I am coming up on my renewal date for $80 for two years. The last item I was able to download was August 16, 2011. That was the Rusty Hearts items. I also was in the SWTOR beta so maybe as late as November 11, 2011 I still had working access.
At this point I have tried a ticket, and emailing two corporate emails from the contact page and have not received any reply aside from the auto-generated one from opening the ticket. I have Monday off, I may be making a trip to the IGN offices since I am about 3 hours away and seeing if a person in the lobby is more of an incentive to get this fixed.

The issue is pretty new. I had been able to access all Prime content, including free games, until this week. I hope you are going to give all effected the chance to get the free games you offered up this week? If not, I'll be cancelling my subscription. (The fact that the ticket I filed on this on the support site four days ago still hasn't been acknowledged makes things worse).

The Password Recovery system is not working. I see nothing after clicking Submit, and after waiting for an hour I have not gotten any recovery email.

Well its been awhile since i updated my account to say the least because ive been ill, i thought id reopen my account on ign ive been a fan for years paid my fees every year for all of the information on all of my ps2 ps3 wii ds game systems my family has but to no avail can i even log on, when i go to set up the new account it recognizes my email and says i already have an acccount when i choose to hit forgot password it sends me my usaual login info i hit the link to log in it comes back saying you cannot use this login information ,it says it changed the way useres log in so i went to that page to get it fixed low and behold it comes back and says it dosnt recognize my login information. So i guess ign is off limits or they have a full account and no longer accept older account holders . sad thing indeed .

I finally opened a dispute case with Paypal after both my IGN support tickets have sat without a single update since being opened on 1/31. This is an incredibly poor showing of Customer Service for a site I've trusted for my gaming and tech news for at least 10 years... This has been an atrocious experience.
